How to Rename a file extension or file name in Windows 7

Find the file that you want to rename

Right Click on file name 

choose"rename" from the pop up menu 

you will get this warning message if you change

the extension cause windows won't know what program to use 

to open this file, but you can always change the 

name back to open, once you have made the 

adjustments you were going for

Click on "Folder Options"

Click on the "View" tab

un check " Hide extensions for know file types"

Windows Lost Microphone

If you can't find your microphone on Windows 7 , here is one option to try , sometimes it is just disabled.
Steps: Start > Control Panel > Sound > Recording Tab > Right Click in blank on that applet that opened >

put a "check mark" in "show disabled Devices" and you should be ready to go!

Update Vipre Antivirus key

This procedure describes how to update your Vipre antivirus keycode , when it expires :

• Double click the little “V” symbol for “viper” in the bottom right hand corner of your computer screen by the clock.
• This opens up the “viper” interface screen
• At the top click on “Help”
• In the submenu click on “Register”
• On the next screen that opens you will see your old viper keycode , delete that one and enter your new code .
• Your done !
